Google Caffeine Puts More Weight on On-Page Elements?
Notice that post title ends with a question mark? That’s because it’s a guess. Just like practically everything we’re seeing with Caffeine right now. Is backlinking being replaced with social media linking? Will keyword-rich domain names hold more weight? Caffeine has only rolled out on one data center, but every little movement is being attributed to it. And the speculation is flying.
While you should research information about how Caffeine is affecting search results, I really encourage you not to put too much weight on what you read at this point. Nobody – except Google – knows exactly what’s happening at this point. Try not to succumb to the speculation until you have proof from a reliable source about Caffeine’s changes.
Reliable sources I recommend include:

Don’t believe everything you read.

“Caffeine has only rolled out on one data center”
Huh?
They had a test datacenter that has since been taken down. And as far as I can tell no other one has the new infrastructure update, not algo update, on it. Matt Cutts himself said they would not roll it out to another on until January.
Feedback?

May I ask where you got your information? Everything I’ve seen, including Matt Cutt’s blog, Search Engine Land reports, Google’s blog, etc. state that an initial roll out was done to 1 data center: the effects of which are minimal at this point. The remainder of the implementation will unfold after the holidays. I have not seen any reports that Google stopped or reversed the rollout to the single data center. Do you have sources that say otherwise?
